Virtual Filing Cabinet

Well, with all of the twitter MTBoS energy flying around and with all of the amazing classroom ideas I’ve been harvesting, I figured it was time to make my own Virtual Filing Cabinet – so that all of the awesomeness doesn’t sink down into the unknown again. So, here goes!

Starting The Year

Week of Inspirational Math, from youcubed.org. I found Days 1, 3, and 5 particularly interesting, but we’ll see how they go!

Algebra I

Awesome slope activity – draw a picture with at least 3 lines, containing lines with each kind of slope.

Sarah Hagan’s Interactive Notebook:

Graphing using Slope-Intercept form

Alg1 Intro to Interactive Notebook

Geometry

Algebra II

Everything on Meg Craig’s website. Just do it.

This possibly precalc activity on transforming functions, done using the desmos activity builder.(Meg Craig and Sheri Walker)

More transformations, this time square  and cube roots, from Shelley Carranza.

Transformations again, perhaps a good demo activity or something that could be accompanied by a worksheet, for students to deepen their understanding of how a line changes when m and b change, etc.

Thanks for such a nice link to my blog. Good luck at your new school and no added pressure, but I just added your blog to my blog reader so I’ll be looking forward to some more posts from you! 🙂
